Houssein Khoudereldin (PhD student): “Integration of Chemical Processes & Design of Optimized Solvent Extraction Systems”; co-supervised with Professor Mahmoud El-Halwagi. Dr. Khoudereldin is currently Consultant at Det Norske Veritas.

Natalie Hamad, Master in Safety Engineering Fall 2011, Co-Supervised with Prof. Mahmoud El-Halwagi. Thesis entitled “Selection of Appropriate Solvents for Fischer Tropsch Synthesis Utilizing Safety Matrix”. Natalie started her research activities with Dr. Elbashir as undergraduate student since Fall 2008. Natalie is currently a scientist at Total Petrochemicals in France.

Sally Nicola (graduated CHEN Spring 2010) currently enrolled in a Safety Master Program at Texas A&M University-College Station. Sallay worked with Dr. Elbashir from Fall 2008 to Fall 2010.  She won the Chemical Engineering Program Best Undergraduate Research Student Award in 2010 for her work in Dr. Elbashir’s research and other projects.
